Massage Therapy

Jeffrey Cleland, L.M.T.

Jeffrey Cleland is a graduate of the Onondaga School of Therapeautic Massage in Syracuse, New York. Jeffrey has been in practice in Arizona since 1999 and specializes in stress relief, muscle aches and pains, headaches, carpal tunnel syndrome and fibromyalgia. He offers Swedish Massage, Deep/Soft Tissue and Trigger Point Massages.

Irene Tyndall, L.M.T.

Irene Tyndall is a graduate of West Wind Academy of Massage Therapy in Phoenix, Arizona, and has been practicing in the Sun City area for more than 15 years. Irene specializes in massage therapy for older adults and is certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage massage (MLD), a technique she learned at the Healing Arts Connection in Phoenix. .Irene also works part-time for Hospice of the Valley providing massages for Hospice patients. Being impressed by the many benefits of lymphatic drainage, she continues to take courses in MLD and has made it her specialty at DC Canyon.

Naturopathic Medicine

Jason W. Jensen, N.M.D.

Dr. Jason Jensen is a board certified and licensed naturopathic physician in the state of Arizona. He earned a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM) in Tempe, Arizona, and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Cell Biology and Physiology from Arizona State University. He has held leadership positions in many graduate organizations, and earned a leadership award from SCNM for his commitment to and advancement of the naturopathic profession. He also serves as Adjunct Faculty to Phoenix College teaching alternative healthcare classes. He is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) and the Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association (AzNMA).  He emphasized homeopathy in his graduate level training under internationally renowned physicians such as Stephen Messer, ND, DHANP, and Dr. Eric Udell, ND. Dr. Jensen listens to his patients carefully and works with them to create a treatment plan that can help them realize their health goals as quickly as possible, while still preserving a safe and natural approach.

Traditional Chinese Medicine

Dorothy P. Kay, L.Ac.

As an acupuncturist for DC Canyon Health and Wellness, Dorothy Kay offers people an opportunity to realize their health goals through Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). She has utilized her skills and talents at other health care facilities, including Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles where she treated children suffering from leukemia. At the TCM Healing Center in LA, Dorothy enjoyed the unique experience of working for 10 years with two of her former teachers, Dr. Lu and Dr. Shaoting Jing. She specializes in pain management (chronic and acute), women’s issues (PMS, menopause, infertility) and immune and digestive disorders. In addition to her TCM expertise, she assists patients with allergy elimination using revolutionary treatments called NAET (Nambutripad Allergy Elimination Technique).  Dorothy Kay earned her undergraduate degree at Syracuse University located in New York state. She received her Master’s degree from Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine where she fulfilled both her degree requirements in Acupuncture and Herbs. Dorothy is not only licensed in the states of California and Arizona, but is also a National Diplomate in Acupuncture.

Karin Schroeder

Karin entered into the alternative medicine field in 1998 in order to heal herself of Crohn's Disease. For 2 years, she was too ill to work. Together with her Chinese M.D. and numerous therapeutic touch, energy treatments, dietary changes and other therapies, Karin regained her health. She no longer suffers from Crohn's Disease. She was so inspired by her journey, that she began working for her Chinese M.D. in his Westmont, Illinois clinic as a doctor/patient liaison. Five years later she became director of an alternative medicine clinic on the north side of Chicago. Today, DC Canyon Health and Wellness Center is very fortunate to have been able to secure her services. She will be the first person to greet you and help make your visit to DC Canyon a warm and memorable one.
